We’re both up pretty early, we both do our exercises then wash off the sweat and I have a much-need shave. After oatmeal breakfast and coffee/tea we walk down to Clarke’s Court – normally about 20 minutes but a bit longer as we had to dash for rain cover. We take the big bag on wheels full of stuff to drop off at Milu.
It’s Sunday and we forgot to organize keys to our own boat! Allander is at work and so is Jose but neither have our keys. Presumably James does. All we can do is inspect.
Dinghy is half-deflated but otherwise the surface looks pretty good. We inspect and for sure, our bottom is one of the worst in the yard so we’re going to have to make a stab at anti-fouling – even if only a patch job.
We unload our bag into the lazarettes and walk back with the empty wheeled bag to Izzy’s.
It’s very hot now at about 11 am so we chill for a bit.
Nothing productive we can do today so we decide to walk to the beach. It’s only about 35 minutes to Grand Anse so around 2 pm we give it a try. It’s a pretty pleasant walk, mostly downhill and before you know it, we’re cooling off in the ocean. Been a while, feels good.

We walk further down the beach to a local bbq spot we’ve frequented before. Cold beer is good, then continue our walk west towards the Spice Island Mall along the beach. One more swim, then we head inland.
We buy a few groceries and get some more cash and toy with the idea of walking to La Mourne Rouge for a swim and fish tacos at the Plywood Bar. But that will cost us $120EC including cab ride home for just an hour of fun so we elect to postpone that for another time. We start the walk home and at the roundabout, a private bus operator offers us a ride to Izzy’s for EC$5 each. Done.
Back at Izzy’s we shower off the salt, relax with a dehydrated meal, read, etc.
