3 Nov 2025 – Monday, Woburn Bay, Grenada

Well a lot has happened to get us here but about all I have for today is that we arrived in Grenada yesterday (Sunday the 2nd) from a cold and wet Ontario. George picked us up at the airport and after a quick stop at the RAM for some necessities we were on board Milu. She looks pretty good for having been ignored for almost 7 months.

Mountains of stuff to unpack and set up so while Christy starts at that, I start on the dinghy which is pretty much our number one priority.

The dinghy is pretty soft but still some air in it so that is a decent sign. The cover is shredded. Takes probably an hour to hoist it into the water, then hoist the motor onto the transom. So far so good. Attach the gas and pump her up. Motor starts third pull. Sweeeet.

She floats and motor starts. We have to inflate her about twice a day tho.

The rest of the day we’re packing and unpacking. Finding stuff that’s broken. Like the coffee maker. Whaaaa? The next few days I’ll experiment with ways to get coffee.

Get everything ready and test the big engine. She starts like a dream, so we arrange to go on the dock tomorrow at Secret Harbour so we can fill up our water tanks.

I am hoping to flush the water tanks too but after completely failing to open either tank hatch and finding out on the forums that it is impossible, we decide to try the water right into the tank.

Tomorrow Christy will go on the bus run and amongst other things, get some water treatment stuff.
