12 Nov 2025, Wednesday, Mt. Hartman Bay, Grenada

Beautiful day in Grenada this one. Christy and I are a bit slow. One big task left is to go up the mast and replace the broken sheave box with the one I brought with us. Main requirement for that is the big 1/4″ rivet gun I bought in Canada and brought with us.

Only one problem, can’t find the rivet gun. I am sure we brought it down with us, but it is not in any of the usual places. Search “everywhere”. Christy has no memory of it. Call George on Whatsapp to see if he has one. No. Ping Scott in Huntsville to check our upstairs bathroom heat (seems cold via Mocreo sensors) and to see if the rivet gun is there. He promises to go over later.

Well we can’t go up the mast without that rivet gun. So we decide to go to LPB for wings and backgammon, we stop on the way to ask James at Horizon if he’ll lend/rent me a large rivet gun. He has one and graciously offers it – can’t take it over night tho, so I’ll come back first thing in the morning, we’ll get him some gift in compensation.

Off to La Phare Bleu for wings and backgammon. On the way over, in the gap between Calvigny and Petite Calvigny Island, a decent size ray jumps out of the water near the dinghy. Then he jumps again. Never seen that before. Spend a lazy couple hours there, then mozey on back to Milu.

Bitch beat me first game

Scott reports that I forgot to leave the circuit breaker on for the bathroom but also there is no rivet gun. Now I’m convinced the gun is on the boat so I start looking in all the places it shouldn’t be. Find it in the games stool in the rummy cube bag. OK, we can do the deed tomorrow. I email James and thank him but rivet gun not necessary.
