I think I mentioned it before but our dinghy has returned to its leaky ways. Not only that, but the bumper has fallen off AGAIN. Today, we decide to try and 3M 4200 it back on for the umpteenth time.
After the morning rains subside (and I dive for Christy’s rug that flew off the boat and into the ocean behind Milu on the weekend) we head over to PAYS, beach the dinghy and start to work on it.

We take about 40 minutes or so to glue it up, then Christy, with the help of a helpful onlooker, uses painter’s tape (who wouda thunk it) to hold the bumper in place while the glue dries. I also glue up the air valve and an old patch, hoping they may be the source of the slow air leak.
Need to wait for it to dry so decide to walk towards Fort Shirley on Cabrits National Park and check it out. We get there, there’s an entrance fee but we don’t have time to make it worthwhile so head back towards PAYS. On the way, we explore the abandoned hotel some more.
At PAYS we’re told there is another BBQ tonight, didn’t realize it was every Sunday and Wednesday. We won’t be coming tonight, got a zoom call with friends.
Relaunch the dinghy, leaving the tape on. Go slowly back to Milu and I raise her up right away to give it as much dry time as possible. Please let her hold air.
We have our call at 7:30 pm our time, then nighty night for us.
