We go meet Ben and Astrid on the dock around 9 am where they will buy the new dinghy, we will swap. Happy Valentine’s Day and another birthday present! We forgot to tell them about the entrance papers they will need to get duty free and it turns out this is a problem. There are no registration papers on their abandoned cat (yet) so they can’t get the paperwork needed to clear customs. Instead, we will buy a second dinghy because they already have all our paperwork and Ben gives us the cash. Matthew the sales guy is very happy with us. Because of us he sold two dinghys in two days.

Rackin’ up the Aeroplan points baby.
Only challenge they have is no motor yet. They have one on board and while Ben is very capable, hasn’t been able to get it running yet. No problem, we give them a ride and tow their new dinghy out to their boat. Also retrieve our old dinghy which they thought they might use but never did. Christy puts it on fb marketplace.
Over the next few days we will ferry them back and forth a couple times until they get their motor running on Monday.
Saturday we don’t do much it seems. We’re considering how to get back to Jarry to deal with my Digicel problems but not sure. I turn on my Bell SIM card so I can get some data for now.

It’s carnival season and in full swing in Guadeloupe it seems. We missed a couple of parades but Saturday night a party boat parks about 200 yards away and starts blasting that horrible horrible music that has to be satanic it is so awful. Thankfully they quit around midnight.
