Have to finish the sanding today. We want to start painting tomorrow at the latest, second coat on Wednesday, move the stands Wednesday then two coats on the stand bald spots in order to splash on Friday.
I am over early and under the boat, I don’t stop sanding until it is done. It is exhausting and very hot, but I keep going, I want to be done with this. The grinder, while faster than the sander at removing crap, also leaves little grooves that have to be sanded out. So we sanded and grinded at about 35 grit, I am sanding only now at 80 grit. That’s recommended minimum for primer and paint.
It’s slow going but eventually I get through it. Thank god Christy is in charge of food cuz I would die otherwise. The air con in the apartment and cold water are so unbelievably good afterwards it is hard to explain.
Late in the afternoon I find a suitable scrap piece of plywood and measure out what I need for the inverter. Get about halfway through the cutting with my mini sawzall before both batteries die. I take them and the charger back to the apartment where we have 110v to charge them up again. Forgot we could charge them by the boat where there are also 110 v outlets.
