Day 7 – Holly Ridge to Myrtle Beach

I’m up early as usual. Consider going for a long walk or workout somehow but I think the workout in their back yard would be a little, uh, weird. As for the long walk, I think …. naaaaah. Great to have a hot shower and shave tho.

Now if only they had a coffee maker instead of a Keurig with lousy inserts. Maybe I should buy my own? Or I could try an experiment. After using one of their awful shots, I open it up, empty the insides and insert my own grounds. That outta work.

What it does is make a mess. You get some very muddy coffee and a messed up Keurig. Sigh.

Gotta love America

We say our goodbyes, depart and I find a decent coffee shop on the way outta town. Uneventful drive to the outskirts of Myrtle Beach where we have a decent room in a B class time share on the intercoastal. Pretty good tho.

We dash off a rehydrated lunch then head to the Myrtle Beach State Park. We were going to camp here two nights but the weather forecast is not good. Woulda been fine today/tonight but we think that a room with a hard roof is more advisable. We cycle around the park (first time the bikes have been unhooked), walk the beach and then drive through downtown Myrtle Beach to see the sights.

Mebe not made for my bike
Rare photo with both of us
Action shot
Don’t blame me for this one

Think Niagara Falls on steroids. It’s as cheesy as it is dead though the north end is pretty upscale. Back to the hotel where I sit now. We’re going to have a hot tub then someone I know might have a glass of wine and read a book.

  1. Cool! Will this be turned into a book or better still a bio-pic?
