Lots to do this morning so I’m up early. First thing on the list is try and rearrange the car. Somehow we have to get 4 of us and all our gear in there for the ride to Palm Beach. We are taking Liz and Joy with us for a day or two of wind down before they have to go back to Kincardine (Joy) and Colorado (Liz).

I head to the car with the first load to do the initial re-org. Stop at Starbucks on the way. “I’m sorry, I just wanted a medium coffee, it couldn’t possibly be $5.25.” “Yessir, it’s $5.25”. I decline to tip.

I spend a half hour at the car and now I’m reasonably sure we can achieve this – wasn’t 100% til now. It’s gonna be tight and there will definitely be things on laps but we can do it. The drive is less than 2 hours so won’t be too uncomfortable.

The girls have some conference stuff to attend to and I have to print something so we separate for a bit. Back at the room we pack up, check out and head to the car. We get everything in and it’s cozy – luckily the driver doesn’t have to forego comfort tho I can only use side mirrors.

Pours rain most of the way but otherwise uneventful drive to Palm Beach. We stop for lunch at a good Mexican place, load up on groceries and now we’ve killed enough time to check in to our beachfront condo.

It’s pretty cold, pretty nasty so three of us make the short walk to the communal hot tub. It says closed but they’ll have to do better than that to stop us. We have the place to ourselves and it’s pretty nice. Salmon dinner, watch a movie and that’s it.
