Hot, sunny. Heading south again.
The winds are pretty favourable although a little too far south to make it as downwind as I would like. The trick is to leave earlier because the winds shift south later in the day. Still we hum along at about 6 kts and have a pretty enjoyable sail. Don’t even break anything.
See dolphins on the way! First time down here.
We end up with a little bit of lee helm and partially tack, partially motor into Charlestown Bay off Canouan.
Get a decent spot near the Coast Guard station, pretty calm and near where we anchored last year. More boats now though. We dinghy into the pretty unimpressive town where we fail to find much of interest except a little bread from a street vendor. Inquire at the Tourist Office about climbing the hill. It’s the nicest building in the town, right on the water.
Take a picture of Gazimo’s billboard as we think we are going to need it.

Have neglected to mention, for the sake of propriety, two fairly serious issues we have. One of the first things I discovered was the shower drain pump in the aft head doesn’t work. It is completely kaput, almost nothing left to it. That’s not good. But that toilet has been working well so we have been using it. Until someone I’m married to used it and now it won’t flush.
Yeah, here we go again. I try everything and in the last attempt, I try the plunger. It is actually a pretty good plunger but has no effect except getting yours truly covered in sh*t.
Tomorrow we call Gazimo.
