Lots of boats coming and going around us. But it still is not terribly busy. The locals say it is quiet and many of the restaurants/bars aren’t open before 6 pm.
In the morning I go for a swim along Princess Margaret Beach while Christy sows a bit. Back on board we try to mount the improved bimini. There’s about 3 rips that we didn’t even see. This is no good. Shall we try to sew some more? Naaaah. Christy has the idea that we will sail without it, can’t be that bad. We’ve got a quote from a Martinique company we liked. Maybe we can make the bimini last until next November in Martinique.
I go into town and check out of Bequia. On the way back I flag down Daffodil to fill up our diesel tanks. We’re short on cash so we have to go back into town to the bank. He doesn’t mind, I helped him shift his generator so he’s grateful and trusts me.
Later we take the dinghy over to the pier and relax on the beach with Christy’s new beach blanket. Big improvement over just beach towels. Try to read but both of us snooze in the sun. Find out later the sand flies were feasting. Not bad though, their bites itch a bit but not for long.
Back on board we work on our bag of ice and rum drinks. Gotta use up that rum and ice y’know.
We’re still watching the Windy app carefully. This week looks very blustery except for tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. We’ve already decided to go to Chatham Bay for Sunday night, then make the fairly long but pleasant cruise down the east side of Grenada back to Mt. Hartman Bay.
