We take off fairly early, drop off our somewhat shaky mooring and head for Anse La Roche on the north end of Carriacou. We’re going to try and have lunch at Tim’s there. The sail up is nice, we anchor in the bay with one other cat. We stopped here 7 years ago on our 20th wedding anniversary with Andy, this is largely what got us restarted on our sailing journey.

Christy calls Tim but he can’t make it out for dinner, will have to make do on our own. We dinghy to shore, look around the beautiful beach and restaurant a bit, then find the path up the hill to see what we can find. The path eventually expands a bit, was clearly a road of some kind and soon we can see becomes a bit of a road. There’s signs of farming, some cow patties and lots of freshly planted fruit trees. One little tarp habitation and off in the distance we can see a house on the point near Petite Carenage.
Walk back down to the beach, clean up a bit then head back to Milu for lunch.

Fly the drone, almost lose the first one on a low battery.

Soon enough we’re off to Union Island. About 2 nm off we can see there is some very sketchy weather coming in so we slow down and wait for it to mostly pass over before entering the harbour. We still get rained on hard but at least not while we are trying to tie up in Clifton Harbour. By the time we get there it has passed and we are in clear weather again.
Of course a young guy accosts us offering us a mooring ball. We say no, we’re just anchoring to go to Customs. He’s begging us, so we agree to take a ball and have him taxi us in and out for EC$40. Good to spread some money around Union, they are clearly hurting. There are practically no boats in the harbour and zero kite surfers. The kite surfer hotel is completely destroyed.
We head off towards Mayreau, we intend to anchor in Saltwhistle Bay but lately it has been crazy there, we consider Saline Bay, but naaah. We sneak in amongst the moored charter cats, a little tight but not bad. We’re pretty much blocking a mooring ball but we’re not too concerned, there are others.
Dinner on board, a bit rocky night here, but not too bad. Even the many French cats around us are pretty quiet.
