The best things about this day are:

• we’re warm and dry and safe
• we’re not in Canada where it is otherwise

Back in Canada it is cold and snowy, here it is only rainy. So rainy and windy and generally fairly nasty, we never even take the dinghy down from its davits. Every now and then we get the illusion of calmer weather, only to be inundated by torrential rain moments later.

On Sunday, I decided to put a bucket out to catch rain water. I’ve filled my cup a few times from it. Should set up a bit of a more sophisticated collection system. If we were able to catch rain water here, we wouldn’t need to fill up or use our water maker.
