Moving day dawns bright and clear like it has for the past two weeks. A little cloudy over the mountains but it never rains.

We’re not quick to leave but depart around 10 am. Have to motor out well past the Cabrits before enough wind to sail. Sails up, we’re making 4 kts or so. Eventually get up to 5+ for most of the crossing. Christy has cell service the whole way. It’s actually cool enough to require shirts!

As we approach The Saints, Christy wants to stop in Anse Fiddling on the very sparsely populated island of Terre D’En Bas, I’m not sure why but we do. It’s one of those small bays with unpredictable winds and we move twice before settling on a spot that won’t interfere with anyone else. Only problem is it’s on a lee shore with a rocky shoal only a dozen or so yards from us. I don’t like it one bit. I dive on our trusty anchor. It’s set but we really don’t have enough chain out. Any more and we’d be even closer to the rocks so the strategy is … hope. Luckily I have a lot of faith in this anchor.

The swell is horrible but eventually dies down and is not too bad over night. I get up a few times (it’s still beautiful with a near-full moon) to check things out, all is well.
