Back in February, Audrey went to see Brandy at Core Health as she was fed up with her health issues as well as traditional medical approaches. After some testing, Brandy prescribed a very rigorous elimination diet and some lifestyle changes.
Audrey, if you’re reading this, I admit I had some trepidations about how much you would take on.
But Audrey embraced the program 100%. She completely overhauled her diet, eliminating all the items Brandy said, which was pretty much everything that everyone eats every day, and also took up a fitness routine. It is hard to explain how happy we were but after 3 weeks she was getting a little frustrated because she hadn’t seen much progress. Then, suddenly, the changes started coming fast. Skin conditions gone. Inhaler gone. Energy back. Weight dropping fast. And it just kept getting better. The more it got better, the more Audrey embraced it.
By around the end of August she had lost about 50 lbs and looked amazing. Perhaps the best part is that now she likes her new life and will never go back to those old poisonous ways.
The mom and dad are so happy for her … we’ve both taken pilates classes with her!

She also started working part time for a toy man-rep and seems to like it. This will hopefully turn into full time and get her off the restaurant life.
She had some fun weekends with her friends including a glamping weekend in Collingwood and about a week in PEI with Kaitlan, Jordon, Lorna and Brenna.
Ben is still looking for meaningful work but as I write this in mid-September has an opportunity with RBC in commercial lending. He quit working at The Local and moved over to Kings Taps at First Canadian Place this August. It’s a busy place but primarily with the business crowd so perhaps he’ll be closer to a 9-5 gig there until he lands something.
He travelled to Europe in June with a bunch of buddies and had some fun. Ran into Sidney Crosby on a random street in Munich.

He and some buds came to the cottage one weekend in early August, Christy and I did a canoe trip to Algonquin Park so they could have the place to themselves. More on that here.
He’s got the golf bug bad and he and dad went to Golf Town for a driver fitting and both came away with new hardware. G-D kid hits the ball a hundred miles but still a bit wild. Getting better fast tho.
He and I met between Toronto and Huntsville a few times for golf. Finally settled on Cedarhurst just south of Beaverton as the best location as it is almost exactly halfway and he doesn’t have to deal with the west side of Toronto on the way home. We’ve played 36 there twice.
Ben also came with me to the Cousin Golf gig in May which he seemed to enjoy. He played with Uncle Blair and I played with Steve Huntley, his son Andrew and Rick Myles. I’ll talk more about that here in the non-Audrey/Ben summer section.
