Today we have some retail chores to do on foot. We start at a reasonable time and walk to the bank, then Ace, then Budget. While at Budget we book a haulout with Spice Island in October. They make it clear they have no staff to do any work but at least we have the haul-out and drop back in booked.

On the way home we stop at some apartments and they do have short-term rentals, could be a convenient location to stay while Milu is on the hard at Spice Island across the street. Marcus gives us the info and we walk on, climbing the three hills to get back to Secret Harbour.

Back on Milu we realize we did not buy the drain clearing stuff I wanted to try in the aft head. Sigh.

We’re poking away at all our close-up chores. Today I pickle the water maker organize the back bedroom while Christy does her thing. Last time I was in the lazarette where the water maker is I found a detached pair of wires. There was no voltage on them so I didn’t think much of it. This time I notice they go onto the electrovalve for the water maker. I reattach them, hope I got the wiring right [ it looks good but it has been working for some time without it. That valve controls weather fresh or sea water goes in to the machine, with it disconnected there would have been no fresh water flush.

Christy fries up a mess of wings for dinner, we’re also poking away at all our food. Unfortunately ran out of cookies some time ago.
