Thought we might be sore/tired from the Hash but we’re OK and decide to join the Walking Club. It’s especially attractive since they’re just going to The Brewery for breakfast which we’ve heard is very good. We meet them at 8:00 am, a good-sized group and we travel the Prickly Bay YC route – a little longer but avoids the big hill.
Breakfast IS good, I have the Hungry Man version and Christy takes some of my bacon. Actually arrives in a reasonable time and includes a very good cup of coffee. There is a Saturday morning market too but the guy selling eggs is AWOL. About half the walking club leaves and continues walking up to RAM.
Afterwards we go to the grocery store but walk the wrong way so go to the other grocery store where we encounter the walking club returning. We get some stuff but no eggs. Retrace our steps to Caul’s but no eggs there either. We try The Brewery again and the guy is there this time so Christy manages to get some eggs.
We walk back alone, Steph and Richard are staying to watch the cycling, no hope of finding golf broadcast anywhere except maybe the golf club which is too far away. It’s Masters weekend and Rory is back in the hunt.
We head back alone, Christy wants a swim at the little parkette in Prickly Bay so I wait for her. It’s hot but I don’t feel like swimming, getting wet, salty and sandy again. We climb the big hill – it’s harder but shorter. Very nice to feel the breeze on Mt. Hartman Bay as we dinghy back to Milu.
Later we go to Hog Island. Seems like a routine day.
