Well it is now 6 days since our return to Canada. We have commenced with Christmas preparations (more below) and are looking forward to enjoying winter in Wonderland.
At least until February when we go sailing in Grenada.
The Florida trip in numbers:
- 33 days
- About 10,000 km – the Relive app recorded 8,000+ km but we missed a few days and didn’t record when we were not moving cities
- 14 US states
- One pound of coffee, almost to the drop
- One box of Christy’s tea – she thought she ran out but found 2 bags in Nashville
- 30 dehydrated dinners – we planned for 15 dinners for 2 and used exactly that although we ate one of our dinner meals for breakfast the last day in Nashville
- 30 dehydrated breakfasts – same as above but we used the last true breakfast the day before we left Nashville
- I put almost everything on credit card, I had about a hundred bucks cash that gradually disappeared but here is the summary of my expenses. Christy paid for most of the accommodations that were Airbnb or hotel

So we’re back in town and back to our normal lives except we are resolved to reduce our rat race activities and enjoy every minute, particularly this season.
To that end on Friday we made the trip to our favorite tree farm (discovered by Audrey and me, Mom is allowed to join us now after being banned for a couple of years).

And now, it is Sunday, December 11th. I’m up pretty early, got more egg nog to make and a million other jobs. But at least I get to wake up to this …
