We’re up at a reasonable time. Not far to go to Port Louis but we need to empty our black water tanks so must head out to sea for at least a mile. So we do,

Soon enough we’re back in the port and a guide comes on board to land us at one of the piers. As they approach the boat in their dinghy they’re shouting at us that one of our lines is in the water. Sure enough one of the mooring ball lines has fallen overboard and is dragging between the pontoons of the cat. SUPER lucky we didn’t get caught on a propeller.

Back at port, on the boat as they’re tying up, Captain Keith (?) asks us how it went. “Great:, says everyone. “Then why so glum?” Maybe we will get used to the kid’s non-committal facial expressions too one day. By looking at them Mom and I were sure that at the best case, they were indifferent to the trip. But when we ask them what they thought, they say “Maybe the best family vacation ever”. Wouldna guessed it.

We make the many trips from dock to landing with our stuff and catch a cab back to the same hotel in Mourne Rouge Bay. Pretty much chill away the afternoon and go for fish tacos again at The Plywood Bar.

More euchre and yahtzee, bed.
