We are planning to go into town and hit Island Water World and other stores but yesterday’s rain caused more flooding make us think twice.
The Clarke’s Court market is only half open from the same problem. Still manage to get some fresh water and bakery (EC$35 for a loaf of bread and two cheese buns!).
We ran into Nils the other day who said he would sell us his old SUPs. We check the local chandlery at Clarke’s and then check out his SUPs. They are a bit rough but he says they are OK.
We do go into town, ride the #2 bus all the way to the market. Check out all the hardware stores and the “cruise ship mall” – little plaza by the cruise ship dock that sells expensive trinkets. Then walk thru the tunnel and hit Hubbard’s Hardware store but they don’t have what we are looking for either. Christy is looking for dinghy/SUP repair glue, I am looking for a plumbing tee to hook onto the aft shower connector.
To my chagrin, we end up with too many bags again which is a royal pain on the busses. Luckily, our return trip the bus is not too crowded so it is not a major inconvenience.
I put a fan up in the galley which helps a lot, especially when cooking. Can’t see it in this pic tho.
